I'm a software engineer by day and a musician by night. I play classical guitar and traditional irish music on wooden flute and fiddle. My primary goal in life is to be one of the old folks that young people hope to get to spend time around while I'm still alive. I wouldn't call myself a purist but I am most fond of the music of older generations of players, before the era of superstar bands and the general homogenization of the music that has taken place since then. I have spent a lot of time performing but I have come to the conclusion that I enjoy music best when it is a social activity rather than yet another thing being consumed.
